Soccer Master Shoe Drive for New Dimensions

They come wearing snow boots. They come wearing sandals. They come wearing worn dress shoes. But they come anyway, to play the game they love: soccer. And all they want is a chance to be comparable to their peers who have alot more than they do, at least on the field. They are refugee and immigrant children new to the St. Louis area, and they have a passion to play.

And that's what David Brcic wants for the local underprivileged: to receive a chance to play a beautiful game. The Beautiful Game.

Brcic, President and Owner of SoccerMaster ( four (4) locations throughout the area), recently approached urban-based New Dimensions Soccer, a local nonprofit offering soccer to underserved children, about partnering to collect used soccer equipment at his stores for the soccer program. Brcic sees the opportunity to be had by the approaching 2010 World Cup, hosted by South Africa, and the climate of interest and excitement as the time to "strike while the iron is hot."

So here's the deal. Bring your used, gently -worn, good condition soccer shoes to any Soccer Master, between June 11 and July 11, and tell them that you're donating them to New Dimensions Soccer. You will receive a 20% discount off a new pair of shoes from Soccer Master. Or, if you don't need ne shoes, but still want to donate some shoes, Brcic and Soccer Master will match your donation with a pair of brand new shoes to New Dimensions.

New Dimensions Soccer is a 100% volunteer organization, with all proceeds going to the children served by the program.
