Congratulations to U17 SLSG Missouri Boys Premier and JB Marine U15 Girls Wipke for winning the USYSA Region 2 final.

This years National Championships will be held at the Overland Park Soccer Complex. The Round Robin will be held July 21-23 and the Finals are July 24-25.

The 2009 STLsoccer.net Players of the Year are Lori Chalupny and Brad Davis.

Lori Chalupny is the current captain of the US Women's National Team and captain of Saint Louis Athletica. Lori was a Women's Pro Soccer (WPS) All-Star and also received the STLsoccer.net Player of the Year award last year. Read more on Lori's career - click here

Brad Davis was a 2009 Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star and led the league in assists with 12. Brad and the Houston Dynamo went to the 2009 Western Conference Final and he is currently training with the US Men's National team in hopes of making the World Cup roster. The SLSG U17 Missouri Boys Premier made it to the USYSA National Final this past weekend in Overland Park Kansas. The team coached by Pat Barry lost two players to injury in the Missouri State Tournament yet made it all the way to the final with only 3 subs!

In the end the Alpharetta Ambush (SLSG lost to in the second game) proved to be just too much in the second half of the final. Barry's team was only down 0-1 at halftime but ended up losing the game 4-1.

JB Marine U15 Wipke also made it to the USYSA National Tournament in Overland Park and should be congratulated on a nice run through regionals. Unfortunately the team ran into some tough competition and did not advance out of group play at Nationals.
