| Can anyone shed some light on as to why Girls Soccer Districts are "pending" according to MSHSAA's website? I thought it is on a 2 year cycle. 2008 would be year 2 of the present cycle.

| I know it's a bit early, but does anyone have any opinions of who will be the top girls teams.

| St. Joes will be loaded. Everyone back, good finish at the end of the year with a young team.

| I know that dominic has 18 players back from the state championship, and six of those were freshman last year, they should have a very good team.

| They did have some good young players, but it won't be easy replacing 45 goals that graduated. Maybe they were goals racked up in the Suburban North conference games. 33 goals against 3 teams in the conference.

| Pattonville may be the public school to beat this year.

That was done without arguably one of the best players in the state last year too. Casey Vitale, (MS- Mannion) who could probably score 20 goals on the boys side.

20 goals on the boys side? haha sorry just had to comment on that.
no girl could score more then 5 on the boys side. not nearly fast or strong enough to compete. technically skilled, yes, physically, no.
lindbergh returns a good amount, should be 1 of the better public school teams, possibly best in sub west

Lafayette is still the team to beat in the Sub. west. Lindbergh will challenge though.
Good point ETD, she is very good, but you need more than one player. Agree that Pattonville will be amongst the better public schools in the area along with Eureka, Haz. West, Summit and Oakville.
It's obvious though the team to beat is still St. Theresa's.

| STA will be very good, but they did start a number of seniors last year. They will reload, as the pipeline is stocked, but they will lack experience. Since the brackets haven't come out cant pick the final 4, but I'm guessing STA and SJA will be the top 2 in the first pre-seaon poll. Big limb I'm out on I know.

Why didn't she play last year, she was listed on their roster?

Pattonville,
If the ACL girl can stay healthy, increase fitness and works in the classroom, she can get the 45 lost (especially the 33 in conference)
Her line-mate up top also plays club ball with her and she scored 20 last year. She also has a club teammate at center mid- Tiffany (area leader in assists last year) along with a junior center mid (Aerial - sp?) that are as good as anyone in the state. Offensively this team will recover.
One small problem though:
"NO Keeper"
Offensively they'll be fine, defensively they lost some senior leadership including their keeper. Tommie Benny will anchor the defense and she is very solid.

| I heard that many of the u-15 stlsc girls(freshmen) are not going to play red bull and will be playing for their high school this spring. Which may help some of this public schools, but I doubt it will impact the private schools as much. Heard this from several player parents on the team.
