| The 1-0 win was against FZ west - not Hazelwood West - wasn't it?

| Congratulations to Incarnate Word Academy's Blake Miller for being awarded this week's STLsoccer.net Player of the Week. This week Blake had the winning goal that led Incarnate Word to the Class 2 Missouri High School State Championship as they defeated St. Joseph, 1-0. The state championship is the eighth for the Red Knights who ended the season with 20 wins, 2 ties and 1 loss. Throughout the entire high school season, Blake scored 23 goals and had 8 assists and recently accepted a scholarship to play for the Mountaineers of West Virginia University. Blake also plays club soccer for her father Gary's U18 St. Louis Soccer Club Team, which won the USYSA National championship in 2005.

Congratulations to Incarnate Word Academy's Drea Barklage for being awarded this week's STLsoccer.net Player of the Week. A central defender, Drea helped lead the Red Knights to a Class 2 State Title this year, and was recently named the 2008 Player of the Year by the Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association. Drea is a product of the St.Louis Soccer Club, and was a member of Gary Miller's U-15 National Championship team in 2005. After winning the U-18 Missouri State Cup this year, Drea and her St.Louis Soccer Club team traveled to Rockford, Illinois where they were Regional finalists, losing in the final game to Eclipse Select. Drea will be attending St.Louis University in the Fall.

| I agree, I thought it was a very good game. I'm curious as to why the IWA doesn't keep her best players in the game when they're down 1-0. Oh well, what do I know?

Yes by all means she won a title in her first year as a head coach, lets start questioning tactics now that she lost a meaningless opener to a very good team. Maybe she's giving everyone minutes early to see how some of her reserves hold up against quality competition?
I'm pretty sure they are still alive for a playoff birth.

| I saw the match as incarnate taking most of the first half adjustng to turf...st.doms goal came with less than minute to go in half...iwa played #2 gravlin from backline to mid and controlled most of the second half as st dom was in defensive mod to hold lead...the only good chance for either team resulted in the lone goal of match...Why did Starkey not start for st.dom in goal?..she has been the #1 keeper for st dom last two years... I saw her future coach at semo was present to see her play.Is she injured?

| Dominic is blessed to have not one, but two strong back up goalies. Perhaps, you should ask Kristen's mom why she was not in goal. I do not feel it would be right for me to post . It was a great game and Dominic has a rocking D, should be a fun season. Up next..Duschene!
