Showcase games are for teams that do not have an opening on their schedule for another tournament but want to come and be a part and play games. CBC is in the tournament and Chaminade is not.
Many of these teams have been committed since 2006 so it is kind of hard to dictate who is where. We are very glad that CBC and Chaminade both are part of this great event

| If memory serves me right, per MSHSAA you can only do two tournaments per high school season. Plus you can do something called a shootout and then you can do so many showcase games. Basically, its splitting hairs to accomodate teams who aren't eligible to play an additional tournament (which is good; no criticism here, just an explanation).

| CBC is going into this tournament on 2 loses thanks to Edwardsville last night and SLUH on Sat so I think this poll should be redone. Unless they can reboud. I was not impressed with them. My money is on Rockhurst. It will be interesting to see how STL stacks up vs the country. This tournament is great for High School Soccer. You think College coaches will be out there?

| Yes there will be some college coaches in attendance, but who really knows how many. It is in the heart of their season as well so many are unable to make it. In my opinion if there is just 1 coach there and he sees a player and that kid get's financial assistance to go to college or the opportunity to extend their soccer career, it is worth every second I have invested in this event. The purpose of the event is to expose kids to a high level of high school soccer. A lot of kids play at a high level of club soccer, but for those who don't, this may be a soccer experience of a lifetime.

Outstanding display of high school talent - thanks for moving this here.
Look forward to seeing interstate battles and a preview of how Rockhurst will compete in November.

| CBC 3 St.John Baptist 1. Hard fought battle. CBC the better squad. IMO CBC, SLUH or Vianney all beat Rockhurst this year. November will be very interesting.

Why are you suprised that the Metro fields are good???? I think they've always been some of the best fields in the area for some time now.
